THE PLANNING

Morgan and Colin had initially planned to have a New Years Eve wedding in 2020, but as you probably guessed, it had to be postponed because of Covid. However, we can assure you that this only made everyone more amped up to celebrate once the couple’s wedding day in May arrived! It was definitely worth the wait and all 150 guests had a great time partying the night away at Furber Farm!

THE MORNING

The guests and wedding party weren’t the only ones pumped for the wedding day to finally be here, all of the vendors were just as excited! Primped was on site bright and early to do the ladies hair and makeup. As always, the results were absolutely stunning! The RE team was there too, helping to set up the decor and direct vendors as they arrived.

Because the wedding was previously set to be on NYE, a lot of the couple’s decor was still encompassing that theme. It ended up working out really well as the deep color palette of gold, glitter, and maroon added depth to the barn interior! The brides mom did an amazing job of helping design the decor and was also a big part of the set up. Another fun fact about the couple’s decor is that Morgan bought the table numbers from one of our RE team members (and an RE bride herself) Kayla, and we only made this connection as we were setting them up!

After a busy morning of getting ready, it was time for the bride and groom’s first look. We love seeing the genuine reactions of love and happiness when they get to see each other for the first time! Following the first look, the wedding party joined the couple to pose for group photos with Krista Esterling Photography mastering the shots. We then rounded up the wedding party for a quick rehearsal run-through.

THE CEREMONY

The scene of Morgan and Colin’s ceremony was truly breathtaking. The cross was conveniently provided by Furber Farm, making the setup seamless! Jacob Lane Productions was able to capture amazing video clips of the decor setup. The couple included 3 flower girls who did a great job at making it (mostly) down the aisle! Following behind them was the beautiful bride escorted by her father. The couple did a unity symbol that consisted of combining sand from two locations that were very meaningful to them. Just when everyone was getting teary eyed, 3 motorcycles drove by blasting Lizzo making everyone chuckle! We are firm believers of both tears and laughter during your ceremony, those motorcyclists definitely delivered the laughter!

THE RECEPTION

We knew this reception was going to be a fun one when it kicked off with a grand entrance to the Chicago Bulls starting lineup song! Everyone (including the RE team) kept entertained throughout the night using the Mirror Me Perfect photo booth! Guests always love having an activity outside of dancing to keep them busy. Yard games are also a great idea if you’re having an outdoor wedding!

Guests indulged in a fantastic dinner served up by Tinucci’s who also tended to the bar all night. The dessert was also scrumptious, consisting of various cupcakes and bars from Dorothy Ann Bakery! The bride and groom then shared a sweet first dance to “You Make It Easy” by Jason Aldean. Soon after, DJ Dan (one of our absolute favorite DJs) from Adagio opened up the dance floor to all guests! He kept everyone having such a good time, that the bride and groom decided to extend the party by half an hour! The last song played for guests was Piano Man, then they headed to line up at the entrance for a sparkler send off! While the couple was waiting, they did a last dance alone to “Greatest Love Story” by Lanco.

Morgan + Colin we loved being by your side for all of the ups and downs through Covid chaos, but most of all we are happy to have been there on your big day! We hope that married life has been nothing short of amazing!

Thank you to Krista Esterling Photography for capturing this beautiful day and sharing it with us!
