THE PLANNING

Kayla and David hired us to ensure they would be able to enjoy their wedding day to its fullest with their 100 guests. They were wonderful to plan with and so fun to get to know! The couple lives in Illinois, so we seamlessly planned from afar since we have plenty of knowledge regarding Almquist Farm where they decided to hold their festivities!

THE MORNING

Kayla arrived at the venue’s beautiful bridal suite bright and early to start getting ready. Spa Beauty Agency was on site to perfect her hair while Glam by Sam made sure her makeup was effortlessly stunning! Not long after, her bridal party joined her and they got super cute getting ready photos in their floral robes.

After the bride and groom were both finished getting ready, Ashley Dahl Photography led them outside for their first look (which was so sweet)! After they shared their intimate moment, they captured a few couples photos before the RE team gathered the entire wedding party for a quick day of rehearsal. This helps to ensure that everything will be seamless during the real thing! This was especially important because the officiant was the bride’s uncle and it was his first time officiating (he did amazing)! Check out all the reasons why we love day of rehearsals HERE.

THE CEREMONY

When the time for the real ceremony arrived, everyone was full of excitement! The RE team cued the wedding party to walk down the aisle and everyone made it down effortlessly. Even the adorable ring bearers and flower girls did great (another reason we love day of rehearsals, the kiddos get a chance to practice right beforehand)!

The bride made her grand entrance escorted by her dad and met her sweet groom at the end of the aisle. The couple then shared sweet words, an even sweeter kiss, and they were officially husband and wife!

THE RECEPTION

After the ceremony, guests gathered to enjoy cocktail hour. Everyone socialized, grabbed drinks from the bar (which was conveniently run by the venue), and pet the goats that live on the farm. The couple’s guest book was also out for people to sign and got a lot of attention as it was a Jenga game! While everyone was busy with all of these activities, the wedding party snuck away with Ashley Dahl Photography to capture group photos. We love how the ladies bouquets from Florals by Claire looked with their dresses!

Once all of the guests were seated for dinner, the wedding party joined the couple for a grand entrance which was super fun! Green Mill was ready to serve everyone a delicious buffet right on time and made sure nobody left dinner hungry. Thankfully everyone saved enough room for the food truck waiting outside which served up ice cream from MN Nice Cream. As you can imagine, guests loved this touch and took advantage of every scoop!

Minnesota Wedding Party was in charge of all the music throughout the day and never missed a beat! The first dance and parent dances were so sweet and the DJ transitioned to each new event seamlessly. Minnesota Wedding Party also provided a photo booth which kept guests entertained throughout the reception and gave them a keepsake to bring home with them. The rest of the evening was filled with dancing, enjoying the evening by the bonfire, and eating a late night snack of pizza from Green Mill.
