Barbara + David | Redeemed Farm

If you thought the groom’s dinner from our last blog was A M A Z I N G - wait until you see how the wedding day was for Barbara + David. If you missed it, we blogged about their gorgeous outdoor groom’s dinner and you can read that by clicking here.

The morning of the wedding was so beautiful and peaceful at one of our favorite venues, Redeemed Farm. Barbara got ready in the bridal suite at Redeemed Farm into dress number one. She had a casual dress as she greeted guests in and then changed into dress number two for the ceremony and remainder of the evening. While they were getting ready and enjoying their morning, My + Kellie placed the decor throughout the space at the farm along side Ashley Fox Designs, who placed the florals. The floral install for this day was A M A Z I N G and not one flower short of breathtaking. The RE team placed the rentals throughout the space including barrels, furniture, and our galvanized tin bar which we placed in the machine shed for use during cocktail hour. The couple decided to switch up the traditional wedding timeline and host the cocktail hour with apps before the ceremony, then move guests to the barn for the ceremony, and then downstairs for dinner and back upstairs for the dance. The couple greeted guests as they arrived in the machine shed, as did the bluegrass band Good Morning Bedlam.

After a lovely cocktail hour, guests were asked to take a seat for the wedding ceremony. The couple got ready for the ceremony and Barbara changed into dress number two. The couple’s children made up the wedding party. We loved that it was a F A M I L Y affair! They then proceeded to the ceremony where Barbara’s son, Edison, played the piano for a beautiful prelude to the ceremony music. It was a beautiful ceremony, including a sweet sand ceremony as the unity symbol that included all of the children on top of a Rustic Elegance barrel with wooden top.

After the couple said their “I do’s”, guests headed downstairs for a Y U M M Y dinner provided by Custom Catering by Short Stop. The dinner was so fun, and you could tell there was so much love in the room for these two individuals! For dessert - the couple went all out with options including an ice cream trailer from Ben & Jerry’s, wedding cake from Buttercream Wedding Cakes,Nothing Bundt Cakes that were placed on every table to enjoy during speeches, as well as chocolate covered strawberries from Custom Catering by Short Stop AND a traditional Norwegian Cake - P H E W!

After speeches, the couple headed out for the lock and key ceremony at Redeemed which we L O V E more and more every time. Redeemed Farm will provide you a lock and key and will let you lock it on their Grain Bin. It is so fun for us to go back each time and recognize the locks from all our couples - so S P E C I A L. Guests headed upstairs for dancing and the couple W O W - ed them with their choreographed first dance to Prairie Spring by Jay Ungar and Molly Mason. After that, the dance floor was open and guests were moving to the music all night long! Redeemed also lit a bonfire outside and guests enjoyed that as well on the beautiful July evening.

Barbara + David - your love story is so inspiring and we loved being a part of your new chapter together. We hope that you are enjoying married life. Shout out to Graddy Photography + KT Sura for the various photos featured throughout the blog!
