Kailee and Derek | Minnetonka Orchards
We had the pleasure of helping Kailee and Derek with their wedding last spring at Minnetonka Orchards. I must say we love Minnetonka Orchards, it is a perfect wedding venue for the more relaxed crowd and has great options to be outdoors, but has indoor options in case of rain. Kailee and Derek did an outstanding job of personalizing their day. Guests arrived and headed down the wooded path to where the outdoor ceremony was set up. 5 sets of grandparents were included in the ceremony, which was very touching. One of the talented groomsmen played the guitar for the processional music. And they used an apple tree for their unity symbol-how fitting for the apple orchard!Their reception started off with outstanding bar services from With a Twist. Instead of the traditional guest book, a drawing of a tree was used and people added their names to a leaf or an apple, which was then placed on the tree. What a great idea! Florapalooza provided the florial arrangements-We love the simple white and pink peonies arrangements, which also filled the air with a sweet aroma. Rustic Elegance also provided some of the rustic decor-including blue mason jars, Shepard's hooks, lanterns, seating chart frame.. etc Mr. Pig Stuff provided delicious pulled pork sandwiches for the meal-which everyone enjoyed! It was the perfect evening for guests to partake in yard games, a bon-fire and of course smores! Instant Request had everyone dancing all night, I must say they have some friends with some pretty good dance moves (we were taking notes)! :) . We love the "who has been married the longest" dancing game-Which Delores and Phil won-They couldn't have been any cuter! Melissa Jopp Photography captured their day beautifully!
